This is a firm favourite at my school. Pic Collage is a simple yet very effective app which, as the name suggests, creates collages. Your creations can be ‘freestyle’ where you decide the size and orientation of your images, or to pre designed templates. They can be made from pictures from the camera roll, or from the internet, added with a very easy to use search tool. To compliment the pictures you can also add text and stickers – some free and some additional packs which you can purchase.
I have used it with all year groups from year 1 to year 6. In KS1 it’s a good tool to introduce children to adding content from an iPad to create something new. For older children it can be great for creating quick projects where you want to focus on the content rather more complex iPad skills as it’s so easy to use.
An added bonus is that Pic Collage is also great for teachers. It’s great for creating quick collages for evidence of work on either class blogs or to go in books.
